Dermabrasio

With an abrading device, the superficial layers of the epidermis are planned out, leaving a wound permitting scarless healing. The depth can be checked.
This procedure needs some kind of anaesthetic. As with peelings the collagen in the skin is reorganized.

Anaesthetic: Local anaesthesia and conscious sedation.

What happens afterwards? When the anaesthesia subsides a burning sensation will persist through the first 24 hours. The light bleeding superficial wound is left open and it should be washed with soap and covered with Vaseline until healed. This takes 5 7 days. During the first 2 days there will be a heavy discharge of fluids, but have no fear. The healed skin is pink and will gradually return to normal colour after the healing.
