Obesity is a condition of pathological increase of fat tissues, when they surpass 25% of the body mass in case of men, and over 30% of female body. Accurate body mass indicator may be determined using the following pattern: for women it is one's height minus 100, minus 10%, and for men height minus 100, minus 5%. If the body mass indicator is higher than 110% to 120% we call it overweight, if it is more than 120%, we call it obesity.

During the consultation a doctor will carefully examine patient's health condition (complete internist examination, anthropometrical survey, BMI, quantities and percentage of fat tissue survey with electrical bio-impendence method). Doctor will also inquire about the diseases you have had, about genetic impediments, prescribed medicines, health condition, and may prescribe other examinations if needed.

The doctor will prepare an individual therapy. Dietetic instructions are usually based on diets with limited calories request in various ranges, e.g. 1200-1800 Kcal Diet, 800-1000 Kcal Diet; low calories diets like Cambridge Diet, some elements of Mediterranean Diet. If its necessary, a doctor will prescribe some medicine supporting the weight loss program (they can also be homeopathic). The doctor will give you instructions take your health needs into account, as also your life style, especially your eating habits. It helps to achieve success in therapy and to avoid the yoyo effect.
