PIGMENT CHANGES REMOVING PIGMENT CHANGES AND TATOOS WITH PhotoDerm

Lasers are of unique character. It enables them to work with extraordinary effects on a living tissue, which was impossible with previous methods. Thanks to the laser light character, we can completely control the energy working on the removed tissue, which minimal damage of subside tissue structures. Its mechanism is simple. The emitted light generates warmth, which heats the infected place to a high temperature that destroys illness and removes the destroyed tissue. In case of pigment changes the light is sent to the melanin, which is the dark pigment in the skin, hair and eye iris. If there is too much of melanin in some spots, or in case of a tattoo, where color is injected into skin, we can remove them with laser, where light energy is absorbed by color and changed into warmth. It heats up colored tissues' and destroys them.

It is very important to choose properly the parameters of the light ray. Otherwise, you can destroy healthy skin, which is placed between a source of light and other tissues, together with a changed spot. The applied light penetrates the outer skin but does not heat it to the destruction level.

Effective therapy depends on the size and place of the change. It may vary from a few to a dozen or so treatments, which can take place every 6 weeks. A treated change will disappear autonomously and the expected effect can reveal within a few months.

After treatment...
Potential side effects:

	At "laser shot" moment a patient can feel various kinds of discomfort, like diverse kinds of sharp pain, pinching (sometimes it last even for an hour after treatment). Most people tolerates those feelings, but some of them may need anesthesia
	Blush and swallow can appear right after session, as its effect, but they pass in a few hours or days
	Itching can annoy a patient right after a treatment, especially around cheeks and nose
	Skin gets sensitive after treatment (you should avoid situations when you can damage the treated place)
	The skin change can get dark after treatment for a few days after treatment

Complications:

	They are very seldom, only 2% of patients can meet them
	Skin damages - like blisters or crusts might be an effect of laser treatment, but they passes in 10 days
	Skin under strong lightening can get blue, but it passes after 5 to 15 days, brown skin color can last for even 3 months
	Pigment changes - color changes and skin discoloration appears usually if patient is tanned or is of dark skin color. They can have hyper pigmentation although they avoid the sun (it usually passes after 3 to 6 months, and usually is not permanent
	Scars happen only, if a patient has problems with keloids

After treatment you should:

	Avoid sun for a month after session, apply creams with high number UVA filters,
	If your skin is injured, do not wear make-up on lightened spots for about 4 to 5 days after treatment
	Avoid physical exercises, massages, hot baths and situations when you can mechanically injure your skin for about 4 to 5 days
	Apply moisturizing cosmetics
	After 8 to 12 weeks you should come for a check visit to control effects of treatment and receive some further instructions, eventually.
