Chalazion - a pathological change caused by inflammation of the Meibomian gland. It is normally of the size of a grain of hale, hence its Polish name (gradówka). It is located intradermally on the upper or lower eyelid.
Incorrect eyelid position
 Entropion - a condition when eyelids fold inward. Normally, it is old age-related, possibly caused by cicatrisation. It makes the eyelashes irritate the cornea thus causing its permanent damage. In such cases, entropion should be operated.
 Ectropion - an outward turning of the eyelid. Normally, it is old age-related or caused by facial nerve paralysis. It causes persistent lacrimation and may lead to corneal complications and chronic inflammation of conjunctiva.
